Match Report:

An exciting game between two strong & competitive sides swung both ways before Swifts claimed victory by 23 runs.
When Stonesfield's excellent opening bowlers Lambert & Taylor finished their spells with 4 wickets each, Swifts had crumbled to 64/8 from 18 overs! But then the ball got wet in a prolonged light shower and stopped swinging, and no8 Steve Cooper produced a sensational innings of 89no mixing boundary hitting with keeping the strike as he added 45 for the 9th wicket, and 53 for the final wicket to almost single handedly drag the total to 162.

The home response also started badly slipping to 54/6 as Cooper then took 2/27, before Dan Taylor (aided by 3 shelled 'dollies') produced a counter-attacking knock of 46 to get Stoney back in it. But when he went at 109/8, Lambert with 19no again raised home hopes as he defiantly added 30 for the last wicket, before no11 Franklin succumbed.
An excellent match, very well umpired.
